A poster that looks perfect on screen can still disappoint in print if the size or artwork resolution is wrong. A few habits keep the printed result true to your design.
Start at the final size
Choose your poster size when you create the project — A0, A1, or A2 — so the canvas matches what will be printed. Designing at the real dimensions means type and margins are sized correctly from the start. Confirm with your venue which size the boards accept.
Heads up
Don’t design at a small size and plan to “scale it up” later — line weights, text, and spacing won’t translate cleanly. Build at the final size.Keep artwork sharp
- Prefer vector (SVG) for charts, diagrams, and logos — it stays crisp at any print size. OryanApp accepts SVG uploads.
- For raster figures (PNG/JPG), use the highest-resolution source you have. An image that looks fine small can pixelate when blown up to A0. Uploads are capped at 5 MB.
- Because equations export as images at full resolution, your math prints razor-sharp.
Leave a margin
Keep important content away from the very edges. A comfortable margin protects your title and figures from being trimmed and simply reads better on a board.
Export the PDF

- 3Send the PDF to your print shop and confirm the paper size matches the size you designed at.
Tip
Ask your print service whether they want bleed or specific margins, and set your content in from the edges to suit. When in doubt, more margin is safer than less.
