Every OryanApp project can open in one of two modes. They edit the exact same project data — the only difference is whether the AI tools are on screen.
SciZen — manual design
SciZen is the pure drag-and-drop editor: shapes, text, equations, and images, with full control and no AI. Choose it when you know exactly what you want and prefer to place every element yourself. Creating a New SciZen (manual) project opens a blank canvas in this mode.
Zenflow — AI-assisted
Zenflow is everything in SciZen plus AI. In this mode you get:
- An AI edit bar below the canvas that changes the current slide — or just your selection — from a plain-English instruction.
- Review and Redesign buttons that let the AI look at your slide and improve its layout.
- AI equation generation — describe an equation in words or upload a photo of one. See Generate an equation from a photo.

Switching modes
Mode is a per-session view choice, not a property saved on the project. Use the segmented SciZen / Zenflow toggle at the top of the editor to switch at any time. Flipping to SciZen simply hides the AI surfaces; nothing about your design changes.
Tip
A common workflow: draft or bulk-edit in Zenflow, then switch to SciZen for precise, distraction-free polishing.
